Sitten oli tietysti myös vappu, jonka vietin Tuomaksen kanssa ihan kaikessa rauhassa kotosalla.
Then of course there was Walpurgis day (May Day eve) and the first of May. We just stayed peacefully at home.

Mitäs muuta?
Pitkällisen harkinnan jälkeen päätimme luopua neitokakaduistamme. Linnuilla on nyt uusi koti kokeneen linnunomistajan luona. Saavat olla kaiken aikaa vapaana ja sopeutuivatkin erinomaisen hyvin heti uuteen kotiin ja luksuselämäänsä siellä. Tämä taisi olla vaikeampaa minulle kuin mitä se oli siivekkäille ystävillemme... Linnuista saamme vielä kuvia ja kuulumisia. Toki tuntuu haikealta ja tyhjältä ilman niiden lintumaista olemusta asunnossamme, mutta uskon, että näin oli lopulta parasta. Linnut eivät tainneet kuitenkaan sopia nyt elämäntilanteeseemme ja asuntoomme kovin hyvin. Oli virhe ottaa niitä alun alkaenkaan.
Määräaikainen työsuhteeni Lemminkäisellä kirjanpitäjänä päättyi toissa päivänä. Aika näyttää sitten mitä seuraavaksi. Tulevaisuudessa omistaudun kuitenkin enemmän korun teolle. Nyt vihdoin pitäisi olla taas aikaa ja energiaa sillekin. :)
Tuomas jää seurakseni kotiin aikaiselle kesälomalle. Kävimme juuri ottamassa klubijäsenyydet Arabium-kuntosalille, joka onnekkaasti sattuu olemaan tuossa aivan kivenheiton päässä kodistamme.
Aurinko paistaa, kesä tekee tuloaan, on aikaa harrastuksille ja yhteistä aikaa kullan kanssa. Asiat voisivat varmaan olla huonomminkin?

After much consideration we decided to give up the birds. They now have a new home in the care of experienced bird keeper. They can fly around freely there all the time. Birds adjusted well to their new home pretty much immediately. It sure seems this was harder for me than it was for them. I still receive pictures and news from them. Of course it feels wistful and kind of empty not having them around but I believe this was for the best now. In the end they didn't fit very well in our life situation and this appartment. I guess it was very foolish of me to take them in a first place.
My job as a accountant at Lemminkäinen is over. It was a fixed-term employment that just came to an end. I gotta start looking for new a job. Time only shows what next. However, in the near future I devote myself more to the jewelery-making. Finally I should have the time and energy for that kind of stuff again. :)
Tuomas is keeping his summer holidays early and staying with me at home. We just went to get memberships to the gym that we are lucky enough to have almost next door.
The sun is shining, summer is coming, I have time for hobbies and time together with my sweetheart. Things sure could be worse?
