Kyllästyin etsimään täydellistä mustavalkoisen keittiömme sisustukseen sopivaa seinämallista suodatinpussitelinettä ja päätin tehdä sen itse. Kuvio syntyi sgraffito-tekniikalla. Pohjalla siis valkoinen engobe, päällä musta engobe, viimeistelty mustalla alilasitevärillä ja päälimmäisenä kiiltävä, läpinäkyvä lasite. Savena tietenkin oma kestosuosikkini hienojakoinen valkoinen savi.

 

Kommentit työstä: anoppi sanoi, että tällaisia hän ei olekaan ennen nähnyt. Siis suodatinpussitelineitä kyllä, mutta ei savesta. Minulle valinta oli ilmeinen: minun materiaalini on savi.

 

Pitkään keramiikkatöitä harrastanut kurssikaverikin innostui ideasta, että hänpä tekee seuraavalla kerralla suodatinpussitelineen itsekin! Näin ne ideat kursseilla kiertää, mutta minulta jos kysytään, sehän on vain positiivista. :)
 

 

I got tired of looking for the perfect wall-mounted coffee filter holder that would suit our black and white kitchen, and decided to make it myself. I used sgraffito technique for the detailed little coffee cup pattern. First layer is white engobe, second layer is black engobe perfected with some black underglaze color and on the surface there's transparent glossy glaze. The clay used is not so surprisingly my own favorite fine-grained white clay.

 

Feedback I've gotten from the work: mother-in-law said she has never seen item like this before. Coffee filter holders she has seen but not made of clay. For me the choice was more than obvious: clay is my material.

 

My class mate who's worked with clay for a long time also got excited about the idea and said she needs to make her own ceramic coffee filter holder next time! This is how the ideas spread on these courses, but if you ask me there is nothing wrong with that. It's nice we get new ideas from each others. :)

Welcome sign

Lähes hetken mielijohteesta tuli sitten loppuun vielä tämmönen ovikylttikin väkerrettyä. Meidän kisulithan on mukana taas totta kai. Ainakin vierailijat saattavat aavistaa, mitä oven takana odottaa! :) Yläkerran naapuri ihan tässä kehui yksi päivä, kuinka meillä on kuulemma aina kivanäköisiä ovikoristeita, olen taitava käsistäni ja laita vaan jatkossakin töitäsi esille, hyvältä näyttää! :D

Perfektionisti minussa miettii, kuinka monella tapaa voisi olla vielä kivemmankin näköinen ja parempi, mutta loppujen lopuksi onhan se nyt kuitenkin aivan uniikki ovikoriste, jolla on ilmeisesti naapureidenkin hyväksyntä!

Materiaalit: valkoinen savi, rauta- ja mangaanioksidit, alilasitevärit, kiiltävä sininen lasite.

It was almost a-spur-of-the-moment thing to make this welcome sign. Of course our cats are in the work once again. At least the visitors will have an idea what to expect to meet once the door is opened! Our neighbor from upstairs told me "you always have such nice things hanging in your door, you are very talented, just keep on putting up your work in future too, looks great!":D
The perfectionist in me keeps wondering how many ways I could've made it even better and nicer looking. But in the end one can't deny it is a completely unique door decoration, one of a kind, and at least now I know I have the neighbors approval for it as well!

Mitä tästä voi sanoa? Se on harakka. Se on jääkaappimagneetti. Ja mustavalkoisena kaveri sopii keittiömme sisustukseen kuin nyrkki silmään.

What can I say? It's a magpie. It's a fridge magnet. And being black and white the fellow goes perfectly well together with the rest of our kitchen.

Odottelen jo kovasti syksyn keramiikkakurssia alkavaksi. Pari työtäkin on jo valmiina odottelemassa jo pääsyään raakapolttoon. :)

I'm anxiously waiting for the autumns pottery class to start. I even have couple works already at home ready just waiting for the firing.

Tummanpunainen hiuskriisi

Elikkä alla kuvassa on lähtötilanne keväällä, joka ei siis ollut vielä se kriisi. Minulla oli oma luonnollinen hiusvärini hyvin pitkällä. Ei huono, mutta minä vain olen sellainen, että kaipaan pientä vaihtelua aika ajoin, ja olin pitänyt tukkaani tämännäköisenä jo puolisentoista vuotta (minulle se on jo pitkä aika!).  Niinpä annoin kampaajan mallinmuutoksen lisäksi laittaa minulle värin. Toiveena oli saada häivähdys punaista mukaan. Minun oma värini, mutta semmoisella pienellä punertavalla twistillä, joka olisi pehmeän ja luonnollisen näköinen eikä juurikaan omaa väriäni tummempi. Taisin kuvata väritoivettani 'kultakupariksi'.

 

 DARK RED HAIR CRISIS

 

So here in the picture down below is the original starting point. This is not THE CRISIS yet. Crisis is yet to come. So here I have still my very own natural hair color. I don't think it's bad at all. I just happen to be such person who longs for a little change from time to time. I had already stayed in this color for a year and a half, and to me it's a very long time! So I did the tragic mistake of letting a hair dresser not only change my hair cut but to dye my hair as well. The wish I had was to add a slight hint of red to my color. I wanted it to be like my color was but just with a small red twist that would keep my soft and natural look and not change the color too much darker either. I believe I subscribed the color I was looking for as "copper gold".

Huokaus. Ei nyt mennyt nappiin ollenkaan. Olin tosi harmissani. Hiusten värjäys kampaajalla ei ole mitään halpaa lystiä, mutta ajattelin, että tämän kerran nyt satsaan. 'Antaa ammattilaisen tehdä niin tulee hyvä.' Ja kissanviikset! Nyt meni kyllä väri tosi pahasti pieleen! Juuri tätä en halunnut: liian tummaa väriä, joka näyttää kovalta kasvojani vasten saaden minut näyttämään sairaalloisen kalpealta!

And here in the picture down below we have that "little red twist" hair dresser gave my hair. Oh sigh. Not what I was after at all. I was NOT happy. I was bummed. It's not a cheap thrill to update your hair color at the hair salon, but I just thought to myself just this once I allow this to myself. 'I'll leave it to a professional. That's how I get it done right.' Yeah, sure. This went south completely! This is was exactly what I didn't want: too dark of a color that makes me look just morbidly pale!

Yritin ajatella positiivisesti, että noh, nythän sitten saan sitä vaihtelua koko rahan edestä, onpahan ainakin ihan erilainen! Ehkä vie vain hetken tottua tähän, sitä paitsi väri haalistuu kuitenkin pian, muistuttelin itselleni.

I am a firm believer in positive thinking so I first thought to myself  'oh well, now I am getting a hell of a lot change and difference, I am getting a run for my money for sure! Maybe it will just take some time to get used to this change. Besides, the color will fade out in no time', I reminded myself.

 

Vaan päivät kuluivat, mutta vieläkään en ollut päässyt sinuiksi uuden värini kanssa. Ymmärsin, että kyseessä ei ollut vain alkujärkytys suuren muutoksen edessä, vaan ihan oikeasti en sitten kerta kaikkiaan tässä värissä viihtynyt, se ei vain yhtään tuntunut omalta. En siitä tykännyt, en siihen tottunut enkä halunnut tottua. Minusta se ei vaan minulle sopinut ollenkaan. Värin täytyi siis lähteä!

So days went by but yet I had not been able to get comfortable with my new looks. It was then that I understood me feeling shocked wasn't just my first reaction to something different. I actually really did not feel like myself at this color. I didn't feel comfortable, I didn't like it. It wasn't a simple matter of getting used to. I gave it a fair change, but I didn't get used to it. I knew  I wouldn't get used to it and I didn't wanted to get used to it. I hated it! I didn't think it suited me at all, it simply was just all wrong! The color had to go!

2 kk murheellisen kampaamokatastrofin jälkeen väri oli kulunut alla olevan "ennen"-kuvan mukaiseksi. Olin kuluttanut väriä käyttämällä hiustenhoitotuotteita, joita nimenomaan EI ollut värjätyille hiuksille suunniteltu, sekä tekemällä öljyhoitoja.
2 months after the disappointing hair salon disaster my hair color had faded to be what you can see in a "before" picture down below. This time between I had been using hair products on purpose that WASN'T designed for dyed hair - I didn't wanted to protect the color I wasn't keen on. I wanted it to fade away asap so I also gave my hair some good oil treatments - great for the condition of the hair, not so great for hair color.

So here we are!

MISSIO HIUSVÄRIN HAALISTUS : RUOKASOODA + SITRUUNAMEHU + SHAMPOO MISSION FADING HAIR COLOR: BAKING SODA + LEMON JUICE + SHAMPOO

Ensimmäisenä otin kokeiluun yhdistelmän ruokasoodaa, sitruunamehua ja shampoota, ja väriä lähti kyllä ihan silminnähtävästi!
First I tested out the hair hack of using combination of baking soda, lemon juice and shampoo in order to remove some hair dye, and it WORKED! I DID get rid of some of the unwanted color I had!

Elikkäs muovikippoon hujautin suuripiirteisesti noin ruokalusikallisen ruokasoodaa, vaistonvaraisen lorauksen sitruunamehua ja ehkä pari-kolme ruokalusikallista shampoota ja pistin sotkun sekaisin. Mikäli seos tulee kuivaan tukkaan, siihen voidaan lisätä myös aavistus vettä mömmön levittämisen helpottamiseksi. Itse laitoin kosteaan tukkaan ja annon vaikuttaa suihkumyssyn alla nelisenkymmentä minuuttia.
So in a plastic bowl I mixed together one tablespoon of baking soda, splash of lemon juice and about from two to three tablespoons of shampoo. If the mixture goes to dry hair it may be in order to add little water to it as well for easier spreading. I myself however added the mixture to damp hair and let it affect under a shower cap for 40 minutes.

On tunnettu tosi asia, että sitruuna avaa hiussuomut ja kuivattaa hiuksia. Tämän vuoksi huuhdottuani mömmön päästäni suihkin hiuksiini vielä runsaasti etikkavettä (sekoitussuhde 2,5 dl vettä + 2 rkl omenaviinietikkaa) ja tämä siis siitä syystä, että etikka sulkee hiussuomuja! Lopuksi huuhdoin etikat pois ja käytin hoitoainetta aivan normaaliin tapaan.
It is a known fact that lemon opens up the hair cuticles and therefore makes your hair dry. For this reason after washing away the mixture of lemon juice, baking soda and shampoo, I doused my hair with vinegar water (2,5 dl water + 2 tbsp vinegar): vinegar closes hair cuticles. Last I washed away the vinegar and used conditioner just like I normally would.

Käsittelyn jäljiltä hiukset jäivät kuivanoloisiksi ja väri kulahtaneen ja elottoman näköiseksi etikkamenettelystä huolimatta, mutta kyllähän se värikin haalistui. :)
After the treatment hair felt quite dry and the color looked tired and lifeless despite the vinegar procedure. But fair amount of that unwanted hair color was gone too, and that is exactly I was after!


MISSIO HIUSVÄRINPURKU: C-VITAMIINI + SHAMPOO
MISSION REMOVING DYE: Vitamin C + SHAMPOO


Seuraavaksi kokeiluun lähti värinpurku c-vitamiinilla. Apteekista saa pyydettäessä c-vitamiinia jauheena nimikkeellä askorbiinihappo. 20 gramman pussi maksaa alle neljä euroa, eli tämä niksi ei vie välittömään konkurssiin!
Next it was time to test out the removing dye with Vitamin C hack. At least here in Finland they sell this stuff also in powder form. You might need to ask for it from the pharmacy personnel. Ask for ascorbic acid in powder form and they get this little bag for you from the hidden stash, very hush hush! LOL. Bag of 20 grams costs less than 4 euros so it won't take you in immediate bankruptcy either. (Or I sure hope it won't!) If it isn't available for you in a powder form worry not - you can just as well crush some Vitamin C pills yourself.

 

 

Askorbiinihappo sopii siis suoravärin poistoon tai liian tummaksi napanneen hiusvärin poistoon, ja jälkimmäisestähän olikin meitin keississä kyse. Askorbiinihapolla voidaan myös poistaa epäpuhtaasta vedestä tarttuneita metalleja (vihertävyys/sinertävyys hiuksissa), mutta sen sijaan luonnollisen värisiä hiuksia tällä ei voida vaalentaa. Myöskään hiusten alkuperäistä väriä askorbiinihapolla ei voida palauttaa kertaalleen vaalennettuun tukkaan: siihen ei mikään koskaan pysty.

Ascorbic acid, better known as Vitamin C, is good for removing semi-permanent hair color or color that came out much darker than intended, and this was the case here with my hair. This hack can be used also for removing residues of medal hair might have caught from impure water (greenish color in hair). However, it cannot be used for lightening your natural hair color. Neither it can be used for restoring your original hair color once you have bleached it: nothing can ever do that.

 

Eli kaikessa yksinkertaisuudessaan 20 g askorbiinihappoa sekoitetaan sopivaan määrään shampoota (n. 2-4 rkl) ja sotku levitetään pyyhekuiviin hiuksiin - voidaan levittää myös kuiviin hiuksiin, jolloin seokseen kannattaa lisätä aavistus vettä levityksen helpottamiseksi. Annetaan vaikuttaa hiuksissa myssyn alla 10-90 minuuttia hiusten väristä ja halutusta tuloksesta riippuen, jonka jälkeen huuhdellaan pois. Itse pidin päässä sen 90 min.

So in all it's simplicity the 20 grams of Vitamin C powder is mixed with shampoo (there about from two to four tablespoons) and you rub it into your towel tried hair. If you are gonna use it on dry hair you might wanna add little water to the mixture to make your task easier. Then under a shower cap allow the mixture to work it's magic on your hair from 10 to 90 minutes depending on the color of your hair and the result you wish to achieve. I kept the mixture in my hair for 90 minutes myself.

And hallelujah! HÛRRAY!!! Finally someone who looks like me looks back at me from the mirror! Finally I've gotten back the level of darkness that I feel comfortable in! This feels like me. Yay! ❤

Huvittavaa kyllä koko tässä prosessissa oli lopulta lopputuloksena hyvin pitkälti sellainen väri, mitä alun alkaen lähdin sieltä kampaajalta hakemaan! Tukkaan jäi juuri sopiva häivähdys punaista askorbiinihappokäsittelyn jäljiltä. Tämä väri tuntuu omalta. Nyt olen tyytyväinen! ^_^
The amusing thing in this whole little journey is that in the end I got pretty much just the hair color I originally was after when I allowed the hair dresser to dye my hair. There was just a hint of redness left in my hair after the Vitamin C hack. I'm back. I'm happy.  ^_^

Jälkiviisasteluna: jos pääsisin ajassa takaisin hetkeen kampaajan jälkeen ja pieleen mennyt väri olisi päässäni, en suotta kärvistelisi epämieluisan värini kanssa kahta kuukautta, vaan purkaisin värin saman tien askorbiinihappokäsittelyllä. Luultavasti olisin joutunut tekemään käsittelyn ainakin kahteen kertaan. Askorbiinihappokäsittely poisti väriä sitruunaruokasoodakäsittelyä tehokkaammin ja jätti hiukset parempikuntoisen oloiseksi, joten skippaisin siis sitruunaruokasoodakäsittelyn oikeastaan kokonaan.
The aftermath: if I could get back in time to the moment after the hair salon and hair dye gone wrong I would not choose to stand for the hair color I so disliked for two whole months. Definitely not. Instead I would use the Vitamin C hack on my hair right away. Probably if I did it like that I would've needed to do it twice at least. In my experience the Vitamin C hack removed hair dye better than the lemon juice and baking soda hack did. Also Vitamin C hack left my hair looking and feeling like it's in better condition, so if I had the power of turning back time I would do the Vitamin C hack twice and lemon juice baking soda hack I would completely pass.

Siitä haluan kuitenkin muistuttaa, että hiustyyppejä on erilaisia ja on yksilöllistä, miten kenenkin tukka mihinkin reagoi! Minulla askorbiinihappokäsittely toimi aivan loistavan hyvin: kun huuhtelin mömmöt hiuksistani, hiukset jäivät niin ihanan siloisiksi ja liukkaiksi, ettei tarvinnut edes hoitoainetta laittaa! Ystäväni kuitenkin kertoi saman käsittelyn jättäneen hänen hiuksensa karmivaan kuntoon ja todella kuiviksi. Hänkin oli kuitenkin sen valmis myöntämään, että tämä askorbiinihappokäsittely on normi värinpoistoon verrattuna kuitenkin hyvin pieni paha.
One thing I wanna remind people about is that there is different hair types and everybody's hair reacts to things in individual way. For me the Vitamin C hack worked delightfully: when I rinsed my hair, my hair was left so silky soft and smooth and slippery I didn't even need to use conditioner! But my friend, who tried this same procedure to her hair, had a whole different experience: she told me her hair was a complete mess after she was done. So incredibly dry you would not believe!
However, she too was absolutely willing to admit that in comparison bleaching vs Vitamin C hack, the Vitamin C hack is by far the lesser bad.

Kaiken kaikkiaan siis suosittelen lämpimästi näitä vaihtoehtoisia värinpoistomenetelmiä sen perinteisen valkaisun sijaan! Olin itse todellakin positiivisen yllättynyt siitä, kuinka hienosti pääsin tummasta punaisestani takaisin vaaleaan ilman että vetyperoksidia käytettiin ollenkaan! Säästin tukkaani siltä kuluttavalta prosessilta, mikä valkaisu on, eikä tämä käynyt lompakonkaan päälle! Super tyytyväinen olen ja huojentunut. Minulle tämä oli pelastus ja todellinen vallankumous!
All in all I full heartedly recommend these optional ways of removing dye from the hair instead of that traditional ol' bleaching method. I was truly positively surprised of it just how much lighter I got my hair all the way from that dark red color I had and without using any peroxide! I was able to save my hair from that hair damaging horror that bleaching is. And it did not cost too much either!
I'm just supper satisfied and relieved with these results. For me it was a rescue when I needed one.

 

So I went from this to this (see pic above) 

without any hair damaging bleaching!!


 

Ääntä neljän vuoden hiljaiselon jälkeen - elämä jatkuu

Edellisestä blogipäivityksestä on nähtävästi jo kokonaiset neljä vuotta. Hupsista.

Se, mikä nyt sai palaamaan blogin äärelle, niin oikeastaan tämän kevään "tukkakriisi" ja projektina sen korjaaminen. Tässä matkan varrella vastaan tuli kaikenlaista sellaista, joka vaan täytyy jakaa maailman kanssa!

Noise after four years of radio silence - life goes on

It's been four years since I last updated my blog. Whoopsie.

The thing that got me now to return to my blog was actually the "hair crisis" of this spring and the whole project of fixing it. During it I learned so much I want to share with the world!

Blogi kulki aiemmin nimellä Playing with my inner child, ja alkupuolen postauksissa olikin enemmän lapsekas puoleni esillä, lelunkeräilyharrastukset sun muut. Tein nyt päätöksen siirtää bloginikin Juicy Little Tangerine "brändini" alle. Juicy Little Tangerine nimen alla olen erinäisissä tapahtumissa myynyt erilaisia tuotoksiani ja pidän yllä saman nimistä Facebook-sivustoa luomuksilleni. Sivu onkin lähes yhtä aktiivisesti ylläpidetty kuin tämä blogi, heh heh. Nimen alkuperästä on hankalampi sanoa. Tangerine nimellä olen kuitenkin kulkenut netissä teini-ikäisestä, mene ja tiedä.
Before blog was going by the name of Playing with my inner child, and in the early posts my childlike side was more present in the form of my toy collections etc. Now I made the decision of moving the blog too under my Juicy Little Tangerine "brand". I have been selling some of my creations in certain events under that name and I also have Facebook page for my creations by that same name. Facebook page is pretty much just as active as this blog, haha. I can't remember the origin for the name. All I remember I've used the name Tangerine already for a long time in the magical world of Internet, go figure.

Enivei, blogissa kokonaisuutena on kumminkin materiaalia ja juttua laajalti elämäni eri osa-alueilta, ja luovuus ja kaikenlainen näpertäminen on kumminkin elämässäni suuremmassa osassa tätä nykyä kuin ne "lapselliset jutut", joten tämä on sopivampi nimi. Sisäinen lapseni on ehkä viime aikoina hiukan vähemmän ollut esillä, mutta on satavarmaa, että hän on vielä paitsi elossa myös hyvissä voimissaan! :D Tämän huomasin, kun selasin läpi vanhat päivitykseni ja päästiin itse asiaan eli lempparileluihini, niin kyllä edelleen vaan niistä saan iloa ja mielihyvää ja ehdottomasti olen sitä mieltä, että mulla on tuolla kuuluisassa aarrearkussani joitakin aivan sairaan siistejä juttuja, jotka tuo aina sen hymyn kasvoille!
Anyway, in the blog I have material from many different areas of my life, and creativity and creating is in bigger part in my life these days than all that "childish stuff", so with that I feel this name is more suitable for the blog than the old one was. It may be my inner child has been little less present lately, but I'm one hundred percent sure she is still alive and well. I noticed this when I thumbed through my old posts and when I finally got to business, in other words to my favorite toys, it brought a great big smile on my face. So in some way this stuff still absolutely brings me joy and good mood after all these years. I still think I have some seriously cool stuff in my famous treasure chest, so this is something that hasn't changed and probably never will.

 

Pitää varmaan alkaa taas vahtimaan ebay:ta ja kartuttaa noita kokoelmia. Se on vaan jotenkin mulle mukavaa touhua. ^^  Pitempään ollut raha vaan niin tiukassa, että kaikki ylimääräinen on karsiintunut pakostakin pois. Keräilysälähän siinä ensimmäisenä jää pois. On se raha vieläkin kyllä melko tiukassa, että hankinnat suurella harkinnalla ja tavara on saatava hyvään hintaan. Ehkä sitä vähän jo joskus pystyisi, sillain ihan kohtuudella... :)
In fact I thought to myself I should probably start watching ebay again for some missing childhood treasures. This treasure hunting is fun hobby for me. For a good while money has been so tight for me I've had to cut down pretty much everything that isn't completely necessary for living and collectibles obviously aren't. Not like I even now would have that much money to go around but maybe I could start looking around little bit. All purchases only with long and careful consideration even when it's great bargain. Within limits and I should be fine. :)

Ennen kuin päästään kiinni tähän hiuskriisitapaukseen koen velvollisuudekseni neljän vuoden tauon jälkeen kertoa aikaisempiin postauksiin viitaten, että elämän pienet ilot ovat edelleenkin minulle tärkeitä ja latteja on vieläkin kiva joskus kotona nauttia. Lattet ja cappuccinot ovat nyt jo muutaman vuoden tulleet kotona nautittua Nespresson Lattissima+-kahvikoneen keittäminä. Suosittelen ehdottomasti investointina maitokahvien ystäville. Näppärä vekotin, joka käden käänteessä höyryttää espresson päälle aidosta maidosta ihanan paksun maitovaahdon (vaahdon määrää voi säädellä ja vaahdotinputken puhdistuskin hoituu kätevästi höyrynapin painalluksella). Kahvilatasoinen makunautinto noin ainakin meitin arviokyvyn mukaan. Kapselit toki ovat siinä määrin hintavia, että tulee kahvikupille tietysti hintaa enkä todellakaan päivittäin raaskikaan juoda. Toki ei hintaa pidäkään verrata sen perussumppikahvikupposen hintaan, vaan erikoiskahvikupillisen hintaan. Nespresson espressokapselit maksavat 0,42 €/kpl, jolloin hintaa lattissima-lattelle tulee alle euron verran. Kahvilassa saa lattesta pulittaa yleensä kumminkin sen 3,50 €. Ainakin. Kyllä pieni arjen luksus on joskus paikallaan ja on vieraillekin mukava tarjota. ^^

Before we get to the case of hair crisis I feel it's my duty to tell after four years of radio silence and referring to my earlier posts that the little things in life (and taking joy in them) are still important to me and I still sure like my lattes. During last few years lattes and cappuccinos at home I've enjoyed made by Nespresso's Lattissima+ -coffee machine. I absolutely recommend this investment to any friends of milk foam coffees. Nifty machine that steams a lovely velvety layer of milk foam (of real milk!) to the top of your favorite espresso. You can adjust the amount of the foam with a switch and even cleansing the milk pipe is done with a simple push of a button. Result compares to coffee house latte if you ask me. Of course the coffee capsules are quite pricey so I still don't have lattes everyday. However one must remember not to compare price of this coffee to a cup of regular black coffee but you compare it to the price of coffee house latte. Nespresso capsules cost 0,42 € a piece which gives a lattissima latte the price of less than one euro. Here in Finland at least you usually get to pay 3,50 € for a latte, maybe more. I feel I deserve to have a little luxury in my life and it is nice to offer good coffee to guests too. ^^

Indiana-kissa taas sai kuin saikin sen kaipaamansa toverin!! Poikakin on rodultaan devon rex totta kai. Hänen nimensä on Damien. ^^

Ja - tämä on hyvin tärkeää - olen saanut myös sen viimeisen minulta puuttuneen My Magic Kissing Dragonin eli Smoocherin! Eli kaikki saatu 'minttinä', mutta luonnollisesti korkkasin ne saman tein paketeistaan.

And - now this is very important - I've also gotten the last missing My Magic Kissing Dragon, Smoocher! So now I've collected them all in mint condition, but obviously goes without saying I immediately removed them from their packages.

 

 

Muuten tarinan jatko meni pähkinänkuoressa niin, että ihanaa Köpiksen reissua seurasi mahtavat reissut Barcelona ja Berliini - ensimmäinen kohde, jonne ei menty Robbie Williamsin perässä, vaan ihan muuten vaan. :D

Berliinistäkin löytyi sitten se mulle jo pakolliseksi muodostunut Build-A-Bear ja Bamse-nalle sai kaverikseen Günther-nallen.

What comes to rest of the story in a nutshell the wonderful Copenhagen trip was followed by amazing trips to Barcelona and Berlin - the first destination where we didn't go after Robbie Williams concert but just because. :D
From Berlin also we found the "inevitable" Build-A-Bear, and so Bamse-teddy got a friend, Günther-teddy.

Sen jälkeen ei olekaan tullut ulkomaanreissuja. Elämä johti minut ja Tuomaksen eri teille ja siinä meni samalla kuviot pitkälti uusiksi. Kisut jätettiin hyvässä yhteisymmärryksessä minulle, ja nyt meillä kolmella on uusi elämä Kirkkonummella, mistä löysin kisuille uuden "isän".

After Berlin there hasn't been any trips abroad for me as life led me and Tuomas to separate paths.

Cats I got to keep, everything else pretty much changed at that point. Now my kitties and I have a new life at Kirkkonummi where I was able to find new "daddy" for kitties.

Vanhoja päivityksiä plärätessä tuli hyvä mieli, mutta samalla pieni haikeuskin heräsi, kun hauskat ja mahtavat menneen elämän teemapartymme tulivat vastaan. Ne eivät enää oikeastaan ole osa elämääni, siitä se haikeus. Lohduttaudun kuitenkin ajatuksella, että ehkäpä vielä hamassa tulevaisuudessa teemapippalot palaavat elämääni vaikkapa lastenkutsujen muodossa paitsi oman sisäisen lapseni, myös oman lapseni suureksi iloksi, kuka tietää. Oman lapsen kanssa olisi varmasti hauska myös jakaa innostus leluihin, jos lelusarjojen maailmasta sattuisi vaikka löytymään joku yhteinen kiinnostuksen kohde. Oma jälkikasvu kieltämättä tarjoaisi hyväksyttävän hyppäyksen takasin lasten maailmaan!

 

Going through my old blog posts I feel warm and happy remembering all our fun and awesome theme parties. But in addition I feel slightly wistful as that stuff is no longer part of my life really.

I take comfort in the thought that maybe one day in the future theme parties return to my life. Perhaps it'll happen in a form of children's parties - good times to both for my own inner child and my own child! Who knows. With own child it would also be so fun to share enthusiasm for toys. Maybe we could find a series we could collect and play with together. Now what would be better than that? In fact own offspring would offer acceptable jump right back into children's world, can't wait!

Taidekujailutkin jäivät tuossa pidemmäksi toviksi, mutta Glorian 2017 Jouluiselle taidekujalle ja ensimmäiseen Kibeconiin tuli myyjänä osallistuttua ja kivaa oli ja uudelleenkin osallistun, jos tulee siihen mahdollisuus! ^^

Also artist alleys were left behind for a good while, but for Gloria's 2017 Christmassy artist alley and first Kibecon I did participate as a seller. I had a lot of fun and I will absolutely participate again if I get the chance! ^^
 

Uusien kuvioiden myötä on myös löytynyt uusi harrastus ja intohimo tai oikeastaan olen löytänyt lapsuuden rakkaan harrastuksen uudelleen - keramiikan teon! <3

Kurssi tai pari savitöitä Kantsun nuorisotalolla oli minulle aikanaan ensikosketus keramiikan maailmaan. Sen jälkeen savea on päässyt ehkä kerran yläasteella kokeilemaan ja siinä se olikin, kunnes nyt ainakin 15 vuotta myöhemmin harrastus löytyi uudelleen ja nyt olen aivan koukussa!

With life moving on a new hobby and a passion has been found too. Or actually I've found my childhoods dear hobby again, pottery! <3

I got my first taste of ceramic art over 19 years ago. It was nothing more than just a class or two working with clay at the local community center with other children. After that during all these years I've maybe worked once or twice with clay at school. And that was all until now years and years later I found my old hobby again and now I'm completely hooked!
